Finance and accounting
General ledger, multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation, accounts payable and receivable, period close, audit trails and approval workflows.
ap0t is a founder-led software engineering studio based in India that delivers worldwide, led by Vicky Paswan, a founding engineer specialising in Rust and distributed systems. We design and build custom ERP systems: finance, inventory, manufacturing, procurement and order management modules shaped to your processes, integrated with the tools you keep, and migrated off legacy ERP in safe, phased steps.
Most companies start on a packaged ERP and bend their processes to fit it. That works until the business outgrows the template: a second legal entity, a new manufacturing model, a marketplace channel, or a pricing structure the system was never designed for.
The symptoms are familiar. Critical work moves into spreadsheets. Customizations make every upgrade a project. Licence costs grow with headcount while the system does less of what you need. Reports take days because the data you want lives in five places.
Custom ERP development makes sense when your processes are a competitive advantage rather than a commodity, when integration and data quality matter more than a long feature list, or when a legacy platform has become too expensive or too risky to keep extending.
General ledger, multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation, accounts payable and receivable, period close, audit trails and approval workflows.
Real-time stock across locations, lot and serial tracking, cycle counts, reservations, and barcode or scanner-driven warehouse flows.
Bills of materials, routings, work orders, capacity planning, shop-floor data capture and cost roll-ups.
Purchase requisitions, approvals, supplier catalogues, three-way matching and supplier performance tracking.
Quote-to-cash, complex price lists and contracts, order orchestration across channels, invoicing and returns.
APIs and event streams connecting e-commerce, CRM, banks, logistics carriers, tax engines and BI tools, with one consistent data model.
Every program starts small and proves value before it grows.
Process mapping with your finance, operations and IT leads, a data audit of the legacy system, target architecture, and a phased roadmap with costs and risks.
One high-value module, often inventory or procurement, goes live alongside the legacy system so users and data are proven before anything is switched off.
Each phase migrates a slice of data and users with parallel runs, reconciliation reports and a rollback plan.
Monitoring, performance tuning, new modules and integrations, delivered on a retainer or as scoped phases.
We build ERP as a set of well-bounded domain services around a single source of truth in PostgreSQL, rather than one monolith. Each domain (finance, inventory, orders) owns its data and publishes events, so modules can evolve and scale independently and integrations subscribe to changes instead of polling.
Performance-critical paths such as costing runs, availability checks and posting engines are written in Rust for predictable speed and memory safety. Data pipelines, forecasting and reporting use Python. The user interface is a fast TypeScript web app designed with the people who will use it every day.
Everything is designed for auditability: immutable ledgers, full change history, role-based access and environment separation, so finance and compliance teams can trust the system from day one.
Every engagement is scoped after a paid discovery, because the right size depends on your processes, systems and goals. Programs range from focused pilots to multi-year builds with dedicated teams.
Discovery is a fixed fee. Each delivery phase is then priced as a fixed scope or as a monthly dedicated-team retainer, with a written estimate, assumptions and risks agreed before work starts. You can pause or stop between phases, and you keep everything that has been built.
Custom ERP development means designing and building enterprise resource planning software specifically for one organisation, instead of configuring a packaged product. The system covers the same areas as packaged ERP (finance, inventory, manufacturing, procurement, sales) but its data model, workflows and integrations are shaped around how that business operates.
Custom ERP is usually the better choice when your core processes differentiate you, when heavy customization of a packaged ERP has made upgrades slow and expensive, or when integration and data quality matter more than breadth of features. Packaged ERP remains a good fit for standard processes; we will tell you during discovery if that is your situation.
Yes. We migrate in phases, running new modules in parallel with the legacy system, reconciling data automatically, and cutting over one module at a time with a rollback plan. Operations continue throughout.
Often, yes. We can wrap a legacy ERP with modern APIs, move specific modules out into new services, or rebuild the user interface while keeping the core in place, and retire the old system gradually.
A pilot module typically reaches production 6–12 weeks after discovery. A full ERP replacement is delivered in phases over many months, with live, useful functionality at the end of every phase. Discovery produces a timeline for your specific scope.
You do. All source code, data models, documentation and infrastructure definitions are transferred to you, and the system runs in your own cloud account, so there is no vendor lock-in.
