UUID Generator
Generate random Version 4 UUIDs instantly.
About UUIDs
A Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) is a 128-bit number used to identify information in computer systems. The term GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) is also used, typically in Microsoft software.
Why Version 4?
Version 4 UUIDs are randomly generated. Unlike other versions which might use MAC addresses or timestamps, v4 relies on random numbers. This makes them perfect for generating unique IDs without revealing any information about the generating system.
Format
A standard UUID is a 32-character hexadecimal string, displayed in 5 groups separated by hyphens:
xxxxxxxx-xxxx-4xxx-yxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
- The
