What are TXT Records?
TXT records are used to store text-based information in DNS. They are most commonly used for:
- SPF (Sender Policy Framework): Specifies which mail servers are allowed to send email on behalf of your domain.
- DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail): Adds a digital signature to emails to verify they were not altered.
- DMARC: Tells email providers what to do if an email fails SPF or DKIM checks.
- Verification: Proving domain ownership to services like Google Search Console.
