Mirror Text Generator ɈxǝT
Create Perfect Reflections
The Mirror Text Generator is a specialized tool that creates a horizontal reflection of your text. It's distinct from simply reversing the letter order; it actually flips the characters themselves, making them look like they are being viewed in a mirror.
Why Use Mirror Text?
Mirror text is a fantastic way to add a layer of mystery or artistic flair to your digital content.
- Selfie Captions: Taking a mirror selfie? Match the vibe with a mirrored caption on Instagram or Snapchat.
- Leonardo da Vinci Style: Da Vinci was famous for writing his notes in mirror script. Channel your inner genius by keeping digital notes in this cryptic format.
- Graphic Design: Quickly mock up reflection effects for logos or banners without opening Photoshop.
- Pranks & Puzzles: Send a message that requires your friends to hold their phone up to a mirror to read.
How It Works
Standard computer text flows from left to right. To create the mirror effect, we do two things:
- Reverse the Order: We flip the string so the last letter comes first.
- Swap Characters: We replace each letter with a Unicode character that looks like its mirror image. For example, 'b' becomes 'd', and 'R' becomes 'Я'.
Note: Not all characters have a perfect mirror equivalent in Unicode, but we've curated the best possible matches to ensure readability.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same as reverse text?
No. Reverse text just changes the order (e.g., "ABC" -> "CBA"). Mirror text flips the letters themselves (e.g., "ABC" -> "ƆBA").
Can I use this on Facebook?
Yes! Facebook supports Unicode characters, so you can post mirror text in your status updates, comments, and even your bio.
Does it work for numbers?
Yes, we have mirror mappings for numbers as well, although some (like 0 and 8) look the same when mirrored.
